I'm doing some research on recruiting (for a fictional book) and I'm deferring to the experts here - how many camps would a junior prospect attend the summer before his senior year? Do some positions attend camps more than others?

And this NIKE camp - are invitations issued for this? Are there others like it? And events like the Under Armor game, etc, are those issued to ranked recruits? And if so, what lists hold more weight?

Okay, I know those are a bunch of questions. Maybe I need a book on recruiting - any suggestions?

Thanks!

Some attend quite a few, some attend none. Each school usually has 2 summer camps, plus u have the recruiting combine camps, Elite 11 for QBs, 7 on 7s, there are alot of ways to get noticed.

Not %100, but I think you just pay to go.

Army and Under Armor invite top players to play in those All American games, the kids are usually ranked pretty high on the recuriting service websites. Rivals has a less heralded all american game called offense vs defense bowl.

Army game has been around longer, but Under Armor is starting to get bigger and bigger and getting the better players.

I know I have a running back that has been doing all the National Underclassmen Combine. He's good enough to make it to the third one.
In shreveport a lot of local colleges have small camps at Indy Stadium so they will go to a few of those.

For their senior year if they really have a chance to play d1 ball I'll push the Nike sparq camps.
