Just an FYI
I was looking at Kiawah Island and thier 6200 132 slope yard tee box had both mens and womans handicap index. 76.7 women and 70.9 mens. That would mean the woman would have to be a +6 to equal a scratch male. Their 7356 144 slope has a rating of 77.3 That is an extra 1000 yards and 12 degrees equals the same handicap. From 6800 138 it is a 73.5. I just have to imagine that for a woman that would be an 80+. based on the progression. Female golfer would have to play to a +8 to beat the male. I think you are underestimating a male scratch golfer.

Have you played the course or been there? A weekend scratch golfer would be lucky to break 80 from those tees.

On another point, most scratch golfers get their handicap playing courses with slope rating of 120-130. In my experience, playing a course with a slope rating of 132+ is much more difficult than the 1-3 extra strokes per the course rating.

A male scratch golfer playing Kiawah's 6200 yard tees will average 70.9 20% of the time and will probably have a total average 75. The LPGA player with a total average (not 20%) of 74 is probably a +2 or +3 because the average rating is probably 73-75 on most course.
