Selling a Boat in TX - Need advice

Need some advice and things to watch out for.

I am thinking of selling our bay boat to get something a little bigger. I have only sold one car in LA that I had "title in hand" on so selling a boat with an active loan in a state I am new to is looking a little complex to a newcomer. Please tell me I am wrong!

We do have the original lien on the boat and we are the only "owner" so far. We are way ahead on the note so I would assume there should be no issues there assuming we get a half reasonable offer on it.

Boat is still registered in LA (has not expired).

I know TX requireds both boat and outboard to be titled, not sure if the bank has seperate titles on both? Is this the same as LA?

How does the sale to a private buyer work if I do not have a title to present when ownership is transferred?

I know this is a slew of questions, but the TX website is not very specific. Any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated.
