I'm a huge horror movie fan and I watched the Devils Rejects the other day and I enjoyed it so tonight I went rent House of 1000 Corpses....Holy shite. That's how to describe it, it is a gory and just completely fricked up movie.
What are yalls opinions on this movie?

A masterpiece of the genre. Too bad you have to like the genre. I just felt dirty after watching it, but I always feel that way after watching sadistic slasher horror flicks.

That's a good word choice! Sadistic is the perfect description!
That buried alive scene...nightmares from here on out, but hey, I asked for it so I get it lol that's why I love scary movies.
On a side note, Sheri Moon Zombie is sexy as frick

The scene where one of them licks the girl while rocking the dad's face as a mask is one of the more fricked up scenes i've seen. on the whole, i thought Devil's Rejects better.

Yes. Yes she is, but I would fear waking up with a ball gag in my mouth and her standing over me with a razor studded strap on if I ever was to bed her.

Yes I would agree with that, I think Devils Rejects is a better movie.

Haha, there's always that chance with that crazy bitch but man she is hot in these movies lol

I'm also a big horror fan, but this movie was just weird to me. I didn't dislike it, but it was just really fricked up

yeah is this supposed to be a subgenre of horror?
i get the fricked up/bizarre aspect, but that is not what horror/slasher is about to me.

what genre/movies would this be compared to?

Like another poster said, I guess it kinda fits in with Texas Chainsaw Massacre because they're both psychologically torturing and a bit sadistic but this shite was in a league of it's own.

I didn't like it. I didn't really like Devil's rejects either though. And I like horror movies, and the gore and stuff doesn't really bother me...just not my kind of movies I guess.

Makes sense man, do you like any of the Hostel series or any of the Saw series?

I liked the first Hostel (haven't seen the second), and LOVED the first Saw...thought it was incredible (and the series has gone downhill since the first).
