A lot of this is self-inflicted.
James didn't do anything to deserve the unprecedented praise he got early in his career, and he hasn't done anything to deserve the vitriol that he's getting now. For some reason, it's always just been really "in" to be obsessed with him one way or another.

First of all. Having tatoos like "Chosen 1" and "King James" doesn't help his cause. Saying dumb shite like, "no one in this league can guard me 1 on 1" then go out and get shut down by Jason fricking Kidd. "The Decision," etc. doesn't help him either. He brought a lot of this shite upon himself.
