Well hell, let's just recruit US powerlifting champions and that will take care of everything.

Could you imagine an entire roster comprised of nothing but Kevin Steltz's?

I dont know if 19 second 110s are anything for college athletes to write home about. I guess they could have ran faster than 19 though which could start to get impressive.

How long of a rest between them?

I'd like to see you run 26 110s weighing 300+ lbs under any time

According to our Duck friends...we will not be ready. They have been doing secret military workouts with the Navy Seals.

Is it possible that I can even go just one day without seeing a LSU fan lie and spin something?
Did I even once say LSU will not be ready? How would I know how hard LSU is training. Did I even once say(as another poster asked)that LSU's linemen were too slow? No. Again, that is called a strong-man argument. Taking something I never said and then attacking it.

All I did say was...
"Our players are fired up and working like mad men to train to get ready for LSU. We have even been doing some navy seal type training stuff."
(To which I was accused of fabricating stuff for mentioning the military training stuff. To which I then posted 2 links to prove I was not.)
And...
"I hope LSU is training hard to get ready cause we sure are."

What I find is usually just one LSU fan will lie and use a straw man regarding a Duck poster. Then the rest of LSU fans will feed off of that straw-man point as if some Duck were actually making it. And then a Duck has to get back to work and does not come on back here in a while and by the time a Duck come back all they see is LSU fans high 5'ing each other saying "that" Duck poster got owned. lol You guys are a trip. It's funny to see how many assume things, twist things, use straw-men arguments and how your logic works.

So please, just one day. That's all I ask. One complete day without someone lying and spinning and being forced to used straw-men and making shite up.

As for another LSU poster, claiming Oregon currently is just a lowly tier 2 program while LSU currently of course is a tier 1. I am sorry, my eyes must not be working well because as I look at the season ending rankings I see Oregon is listed at #3 while LSU is #8. Oregon made it to the Rose Bowl and last year the BCS title game. Congrats to LSU for making it to the Capital One bowl and last year the Cotton Bowl- both tier 2bowls. Congrats. And Oregon is currently a tier 2 program? SEC logic for ya right there.

Your only a 2nd tier team

Apparently Mark Schlabach of ESPN see's it differently. He gives out 1-5 tiers for each team in BCS Conferences. He puts us at that 1st tier. ESPN

Also, head to head is a good way to compare. Lets look at the 3 teams we have both faced in the last 2 years and see how each has done with them.

2009: LSU beat UW 31-23(by 8). UO beat UW 43-19 (by 24). (btw Oregon has beat UW the last 7 years by 20 or more points. Sorry to see you struggle)
2010: LSU beat Tenn 16-14(by 2). UO beat Tenn 48-13 (by 35). (again epic struggle with a gift win, while we broke their stadium record in biggest defeat)
2010: AU beat LSU 24-17(lost by 7). AU beat UO 22-19(lost by 3). (took a game winning FG to beat us)

Out of the 3 common opponents Oregon was much better 3 out of 3 times.

LSU gave up 61 points against those 3 common opponents.
UO gave up 54 points against those 3 common opponents.
LSU scored 64 points against those 3 common opponents.
UO scored 110 points against those 3 common opponents.

LSU fans who claim Oregon currently has only been a lowly tier 2 program, or LSU is vastly superior then UO, really have a logic problem to sort out.

Don't get so offended. The point of the thread was to
let you guys know how we are training, nothing more, nothing less.

Not offended (at least I'm not anyway though I know you were talking to another Duck fan above) so much as amazed how one could reasonably assume all Oregon fans think exactly the same as so many on here seem to assume, not just in this thread. Makes those people who do that look very stupid IMHO. And obviously you guys will be conditioning for the game. It is football after all and that's what happens in the summer/early fall for every team...

The first part was me being sarcastic referring to the second point. If I went on your boards and posted saying LSU was doing German Nazi workouts to get ready then you would laugh at us.

There wasn't a need to say as specifically as you did that UO was doing Navy Seal type of workouts. By referring to it specifically you were trying to impose a sense of superiority because everyone knows that the Navy Seals are tough.

An by posting "logic" you will do nothing for you. There are statistics either way, and you honestly don't judge a program by a two year window. A decade is a better representation, but still doesn't tell you about a program. Are the Phillies an Elite baseball team? They are pretty damn good right now, but they only have 2 World Series titles. Whereas the Yankees laugh at everyone even if the Yankees don't win because they have 27.

I have already been on record at least 6 times saying I will of course be back on here after the game, no matter what.

Now, if you don't show up, I am going to call you out by name.

This still cracks me up. After letting it digest a day, I guess he gives himself an out by using the word "type", for such a bold statement.

But he makes sure to drop the name Navy Seals in there as to incinuate that Oregon has not only athletes but guys that are in top notch physical condition, smart, can fight their way out of a corner, and how convenient to use that after the Seals get credit for completing a successful mission of taking down world enemy #1 a month ago.

And of course, no other team - especially LSU for that matter - has the calliber of athlete to compare to Oregon's physical specimen of athletic utopia.

He knows what he's doing when he says that. But the fact that he would even attempt to go there is what cracks me up.

• Your post(s) will be whacked if you:

o “Call someone out.”

o “Spam” the board, i.e., attempt to sell goods or services, or direct users to commercial sites, without prior authorization from board management.
o Threaten anyone.
o Stalk another poster, i.e., repeatedly reply to his/her posts for the purpose of ridiculing, mocking, insulting, or flaming.
o Post pictures or link to web sites showing nude men or women, male or female genitalia, or female nipples. This includes images in which such features can be seen through clothing. For women, "nude" means without top and/or bottom. Administrators may block any other images deemed inappropriate.
o Post unsubstantiated information about LSU players, coaches, administrators or officials. Rumors will not be tolerated. News must at least be reported by a mainstream media outlet to support its posting. Other LSU message boards do not count as mainstream media.
o Post copyrighted material from other web sites.
o Flame other boards and brag about it here, or whine about what users on other boards are saying about LSU. If you have a problem with another board, take it up with that board's management.
o Create outlandish posts with no other purpose but to flame.

Just saying...

The SEC-W is scary good this year...LSU, Bama, Ark and MSU all have a chance at the West. This may be LSUs year. I just hope that you guys put the hurt on Oregon. I hate those bastages!!!

Of course it's "type". Navy seals have to stay awake for a week straight at the end of their training. Don't see why you would want your football team to do that (Arkansas).

The beach workouts are helacious though. Conditioning doesn't begin to describe it. It's not hard to believe they could be cross training with some seals. Seals do operate from coastal areas.

Just my 2 cents.

It's also not hard to believe that the poster is 18 years old and completely talking out his arse either.
