Got to go to the St. Louis Cardinals/Cubs game Friday night in St. Louis. Before the game I bought an offical Cardinal jersey with Ryan's number/name. ($140 bucks, ouch). Anyway about twenty minutes before game time Ryan comes out of the dugout on the first base side and does some stretching. My wife encourage me to go and try and get his autograph. I hestitate but said, "what the heck". When I got there I raised his jersey showing his name and yelled for him to get his attention. It was quite obvious I wanted his autograph as he was only about sixty feet from me. He continued to do some some light work out although I knew he saw and heard me. After another five minutes I pulled out the "ace card" and yelled, "Geaux Tiger, LSU, LSU, LSU/". He turned, looked at me and came over and signed the jersey. Like they say once a Tiger, always a Tiger!!! The question though is should I wear the jersey or frame it? Any thoughts. In the game he went 2 for 4 and the Cardinals won 6-1. Busch stadium is awesome, if you get the chance to go, go.

Change the title to get it unanchored.

Pretty cool story bro, seriously though. I'd say if you have something like a mancave where u can put it I would frame it. If not, wear it

I have a similar experience although not while trying to get an autograph. My buddy and i are about 6 rows up behind home plate at wrigley. Only game in history of mlb that started two -300 game winners. Maddox vs Clemons. Badass game. Theriot on deck, i blasted a "geaux tigers" get'em theriot, the dude turns around in the middle of watchimg clemons pitch, in a game, and smiles and gives a nice fist pump. The dude is awesome and a proud lsu alumni.

Why wouldn't he be. I graduated from LSU and love everything about the school. Why would Theriot or any other pro athlete who attended LSU not feel the same way? I read thread after thread about how excited posters are to discover a former LSU player actually likes the school.

I say this not to diminish your story which I liked but to make a point that just because these guys are playing pro ball it doesn't make them void of all normal allegiances.

I'd frame it w/ the ticket stub from the game and a program/boxscore from the game if possible.

Unfortunately the tickets I bought online so I discarded the paper after I got in the stadium. I don't have the scorecard either which would have really been a bonus. My luck Theriot will go on to have a hall of fame career and I could have had collectors set. Geaux Tigers and Go Cards!
