It's been said a lot on here in different threads that LSU is not a place for a coach to "learn" his skills. With respect to baseball, I tend to agree with this. But, much like you bring in freshman every year in every sport who can spend some time and learn their respective positions so that as juniors and seniors they can be productive, I think you can do the same thing with young coaches.

I have no problem with CPM keeping Javi, as I don't believe his career should be scuttled. But, CPM should hire a seasoned hitting coach...someone who knows what he's doing and someone from whom Javi can learn. Javi is a young man with a long career in front of him. He obviously has some abilities so they should be allowed to grow through learning.

I don't blame Javi, but rather CPM for placing him in a position of extreme importance on the staff before he was ready.

Just my 2 cents.

What abilities are those? What has he shown you, other than an ability to go out and chase tail with the team, as well as...as well as...WHAT?

What's he done? Seriously? What has he done? Show me something. Is he a good base running coach? Of course not. We've seen that sh!t for several years now.

Is he a good hitting instructor? Since we lost that loaded NC roster from three years ago, we have proceeded to significantly regress.

What has this guy "obviously" shown you?

I mean, trying to say this guy is a great coach, you'd have to show us just how much sh!ttier this team would be without him.

I see zero positive impact, other than being a "players coach". That's because most of the Freshman & Sophomores on the National Championship Team (guys like Nola, Mahtook, & Hanover) saw him going out with the players & chasing women in Tigerland.

What young coach doesn't have the ability to do that? Why is that indicative of his ability as a coach?

I want someone to show me some substantive proof that this guy has great potential, other than knowing Paul Maineiri's family. Show me what kind of coaching ability he has.

He's garbage. There's no getting around it.
