That is the bottom line here, I am tired of people blaming anyone other than the selection committee!

Yea, don't blame anyone for them being in that situation to begin with. Great logic.

Yea, we finished DFL in the West......not the teams fault at all.

What's with the flood of people with around 150 posts starting idiotic threads that basically echo each other and none hold water?

Yeah cause they caused our awful road record, abysmal clutch hitting, poor bull pen, horrible base running, and overall team suckiness in the SEC.

to get to play in a regional, we need at least two coaches who are up on the game, a batting coach who can change our batting approach with the new bats and a pitching coach who actually improves the players and it would be good to have a third base coach who doesn't have his head up his asp

You are right. At 13-17, it's clearly the fault of all those other conference teams beating our arse.

Yeah...I can't believe the committee made LSU lose those games like that.

Okay, WE DID GET HOSED.

But, that still doesn't take away that this was the Coach and Teams fault. I put more on the coach but that is just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.

Probably have to agree with this. Bottom line is when you leave it up to a committee, you never know what to expect. Play your way in and when you don't, you did not do your job.

My two cents. LSU is one of the 64 best teams (RPI / overall record / etc etc). We did get hosed by NCAA - but with Georgia making it to 3 wins in the SEC Tourney, and 3 sub 500 upset winners in conference tournaments (Alcorn State 27-28 / New Mexico 20 -39 / UALR 24-32), LSU was definitely one of the first four out.

Any one of those 4 don't happen and LSU is in as the 64th team.

Anything could have happenned in any regional LSU might have went to, but point out one regional where LSU had a legitimate chance of winning based on their overall consistency and performance this year.

So if LSU got hosed or not is not the real issue. The bottom line is LSU put themselves in a position of not being in control of their own destiny.

I don't know what the problem is and how to fix it. But the LSU baseball I know on an off year makes it to Omaha but just doesn't win it. The LSU baseball I know is a lock to host a regional every year. Being in this position is unacceptable.

Um, we just aren't a very good team and our record reflects that. We got what we earned which is a spot on the couch.

Sad but true. Too many one run losses. Too many last at bat losses.
