How many HRs did he hit?

He went 0-2 at the plate, but was as good on the mound as I've seen him since his rookie year. Threw 80 pitches and 59 strikes.
Also, on the pre-game show he said he was asked by teams in the off-season if he would take an everyday position player role. Obviously he turned those down. I kind of wanted to see him try that, but it's good to see him succeed on the mound again.

He's right to keep pitching.
He's not a world beater at either, but he's a decent pitcher and a decent hitter. As long has he can do OK at both he'll have a job, because it's like getting two players for the price of one.

Yeah, his development as a pitcher has been strange to say the least. At Tulane he often ran the ball up to 93 MPH. His rookie year in AZ his average fastball was exactly 90 and for the past three seasons he has rarely even touched 90. He does have some decent movement on every pitch he throws though.
