I have definitely heard of the race and am considering paddling that one this year myself. If you decide to do it, get in touch with me when you are on your way up here. By July the Missouri should be down considerably. Right now it is mostly the smaller rivers that are going back up. We are getting major rain here this week, the smaller rivers like the Jacks Fork, Big, Black and even the Meramec rise pretty quickly with heavy rain, but they go down pretty quickly also.
