So it turns out that one Shaquille O'Neal suffers from sleep apnea, and teamed up with the good doctors at Harvard for this public service vid/public service message:

Shaq Snores and Stops Breathing, Girlfriend says, Um, Not Good!

My father has sleep apnea. Very nice to see Shaq doing this video and talking about what he'll have to do forever to deal with this health problem. One of the best, if not the best, ambassador that LSU has ever had.

Sorry if already posted. I searched and didn't see anything.

Sleep apnea is no joke. I was diagnosed about a year ago. I thought I had early onset Alzheimers, because I had blackouts while driving a few times and a few episodes at work where what I wrote was total jibberish (obviously done during a blackout). I forgot my wife's name once - just completely could not remember it.

I've got the mask like Shaq has in the video. Once you get used to it, it's not so bad, and life is a whole lot better. Glad to know he's something of a spokesperson for it now.

I agree that the subject title is really stupid. I'm not sure what having sleep apnea has anything to do with Shaq being awesome

I also don't understand what anything in that video has anything to do with Shaq being an ambassador for the school
