they should be thankful/accepting that the COE erred on the side of caution. If they would have pinpointed the height and the water would have gone just above people would be raising nine kinds of hell.

Same thing happens just about everytime the Amite floods and I haven't seen too many people upset with a lower crest.

I agree with this. I think a conservative prediction beats the alternative, and I hope people realize this.
