Should not have an impact
The only thing I would be worried about is a Tropical Storm like Allison that would come in June and hover over Baton Rouge for about a week

Wouldn't take much of a tropical low to impact the coastal parishes. We will have higher than normal water for several months and if they try to close locks to protect from the south the water will pile up from the north.
