My husband has expressed interest in homebrewing, and seeing that I really like beer too, I figured there can't be a better Father's Day gift! Now I just need to figure out what he needs, and I need help. I saw this kit on Amazon, but I really don't know if this is good or not. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Yeah, thats the one i have. I've bought much more stuff for it though, to make things simpler and there are some things that you just need that they don't tell you.

That's a fine starter kit. I would advise adding that book listed below "How to Brew" by John Palmer for another 12 bucks. If he sticks with it, that book will get worn out.

That looks good. IMO, I would get a kit w/ a plastic "Better Bottle" carboy. I started out with a glass carboy and its a pain to deal with....very heavy when filled and breakable. I have 2 5 gallon Better Bottles now and only use my galss one when the other 2 are full.
