Chevy 2500 4x4 crew cab   (Posted on 5/13/11 at 2:47 p.m.)
I am looking at buying a 2006 with a duramax diesel engine. It has 160k miles. Just wondering if anyone on here has one and whether or not it is worth the $. I can get the truck for 15k. The truck is super clean and I know the owner personally. So I know it was well maintained.

I'd rather have a daughter in whore house than a son at Auburn.

I have no basis for the following comment its JMO.

Its sounds too much for that kind of mileage.

If you need that much truck it is a great deal. Also, if you know the person and that it has been taken care off...it becomes an even better deal.

Diesels will bring more money....also older diesels are more desirable and bring more money because a lot of people do not like all the emissions crap that the government has put on the new trucks. The duramax/Allison combo is solid. If it clears a mechanic checking it out then I wouldnt care about the mileage. You may be able to get them down a little more on price...it never hurts to ask.

160k isn't bad for a diesel. Not the same a gas.
