Looking for my first yak and can't find many opinions on this model from Dick's SG.

Seems to be outfitted well and a good price, $499.

The only negative that I have read is that it is made in China, what isn't?

I've looked at those as well, but will probably go with the ascend from bass pro just because of the reviews that seem overall very good. That is the same price as the Ascend FS12T

I am considering FS12-T also. Talked to one of the sales reps at Dick's last night and he told me that they were going to have a Kayak sale ad coming out within the next two weeks. He did not know if the price would be lower, but I have seen the price as low as $399 from online posts.

I have also been digging to no avail. It might be a discontinued model. I did find a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 12 at The Backpacker's site that looks like it's twin, for $899.

The Dick's at the Mall of La has at least two Talons, one in yellow and the other in camo.
