re: Brightside area School of Deaf Meeting at 6:30

Nothing that wasn't already posted here was brought out in the meeting except the closing of the levee to all foot traffic beginning tomorrow.
They say the levees are designed for this event and they are 99% certain no overtopping will occur and that breaches are the issue (no shite).
They did say the flood map released today is the worst case scenario 3 times over and to not look at that map.
The council man did confirm that the corps is worried about closing morganza after opening it, but that they will open it at the 1.5 trigger point.
Seepage will occur in the brightside/LSU area and that potential for issues will last until first week of june. The crest will not be the peak.
Flores is donating time and man power to add dirt to the levees from LSU to iberville apparently and they are adding up to 3 feet in some areas to make sure no overtopping occurs.
Thats about it nothing revolutionary and that everyone needs to make personal decisions for their family the government will not tell you to evacuate before a breach.
