No it didnt work like a charm in '73....look at these pictures from when the tried this same project.....they waited until after the water came up before they sunk the barge...notice the difference in the water on each side of the barge. Notice in the color photo
that the water to the left is the water that the barge was meant to hold back. It is higher than that on the right.


So being that the Morganza is predicted to be open sometime this weekend, dont you think this job should already be mobilized? The job will take approx a week or so once they get started.. Guess they will just wait until the water gets down here again.

With no levee to tie into it seems useless as once the water gets into the trees it is going to go where it wants.
