HOLY shite look at the gap b/w the barge and the bottom contour. Hopefully the Chene won't have enough CFS coming through it to undermine. Can anyone verify where this barge is supposed to be placed? Also I am assuming that they plan on closing the locks on the intracoastal at the Atchafalaya since this would all be for naught without doing that.

They show the location on the new drawing. The water will be ripping through the woods around the barge. Here's the site for the locks showing the differential in height from the west side (Atchafalaya side) and the East side. It was exactly 3.1 feet a few days ago. As the river level creeps up, the differential will increase. Exactly what the final differential will be is the question. If the river get to 12.5 as projected, will the East side be 9.0 or so? That would be catastrophic.
