I'm surprised this isn't being talked about since it was such a big deal in 2006.

there was a passionate part of our fan base that was very unhappy with les miles for losing two games and not winning the n.c. with four first round draft choices on the team.

i think it just happened again last night! except the team lost three games last year!

It doesn't count if it happens to Saban

The mood in the offseason between 2006 and 2007 was very positive. I think we all knew that 2006 team was special, but the schedule was tortuous. We played 4 teams on the road that were ranked in the top 10 at the time we played them and we went 2-2 in those games.

Now, the reason no one is saying anything about Bama is because Bama fans actually support their team and coach and LSU fans just can't let Saban go. I'm sure the AU Boards are giving the Gumps grief, however.

Alot of those fans were unhappy with Miles before 2006 and have been unhappy with him even after 2007. Not a big deal.

It probably wouldn't have been such a big deal if we had gone undefeated and won a National Championship in 2005.

I don't know if you slept through 2009, but Alabama won the NC.

Alabama fans on the SEC rant have more important things they are concerned with right now. It may be bandied about later.

not valid because LSU '06 >>>>>>>>>>> Bama '10 and its not even close. That 2006 team may have been the best ever to wear purple and gold.

Bama fans are dealing with a fricking tragedy? You think it could possibly be they have more important things to worry about right now?

4 guys drafted in the first round out of 10 that were draftable. Alabama was a very young team in 2010.

great argument

if only Bama's issues were related to their offense and line last year, and not the secondary

Didn't read the entire thread, but I thought of this earlier when watching The Herd. I thought it was funny the great Saban had 4 first rounders and finished FOURTH in the SEC West.
