won't be wearing purple and gold.
6'4" USM junior shortstop BA Vollmuth will hold that distinction.
Big armed shortstop with lots of pop in that bat. Keep an eye out, Tiger fans

He's definitely a stud, best guy they have, but they have a lot of other good players as well.

what list has him #1? i was looking at espn's last week and don't recall a USM player being that high.

the Tigers need to worry about themselves right now instead of a player on another team

Are you sure about that? LSU has a guy with more "tools" who is also hitting about 70 points better against tougher competition.

Link? Most mocks have Mahtook in the Top 20. None mention this guy, that I can find. Thanks in advance.

He's not saying tops overall, he's saying tops in the game tonight, implying that Vollmuth is a better prospect than Mahtook. I don't really agree, but Vollmuth is still an animal.

Just giving a heads up, not trying to flame. Didn't know how familiar you guys are with this guy.
As far as better competition, look back to his freshman year during usm's run to the cws. He tore up pitching from Florida in the supers, unc and Texas in the cws. Also vs 1 seed GT in the regional.
Guy has a huge arm, some speed, and can mash. He also plays a rarer position. Power hitting SS makes millions.

No problem, big man.
No doubt he's a stud. And I pull for USM to do well in every sport. Didn't mean to sound like a dick.....
