re: Spring Game attendance?

I do believe LSU can make it a more popular event. Many schools (Ohio state, Penn State, Clemson, etc...)treat it like a carnival function and geared towards alumni.

I know some of the grad students at LSU who went to penn state and ohio state and always book a plane ticket back for their spring game just because its the thing to do. All friends and alumni come back in town. In turn, the schools do quite well with alumni donations too.

LSU did start to go that route this year with concert and play area for the kids and autograph signing..

My recommendations would be for LSU to make it a night game, encourage tailgating, have a few bigger names for the concert and expand the festivities planned. Also encourage all LSU alumni to attend.

LSU didnt even want to put out port o lets or trash cans for this past spring game.
