Recap please. Can't find espn radio in this godforsaken city.

SVP: You guys had ups and downs in the 2nd half and then you lost West in the last month do you feel like you feel out of the eyes of the public?

CP3:(Kinda sounded like he misheard the question) No not at all. We felt like we had a pretty good year in our eyes, had to deal with a lot of adversity all year long. Then we lost David at the end of the season but our team is really resilient and I think we showed that yesterday.

SVP: Not sure if you understood what I meant but I didnt mean society thinks that your not deserving as a team to be in the playoffs, but the age we live in its kind of the flavor of the week mentality, and do you think people forgot what you as a player have as a ceiling?

CP3: Yeah well coming off of an injury Ive had some ups and downs this year but coming into the playoffs you know, its special. You really have to show up to play and my teamates have a lot of confidence in me, and we played pretty well yesterday.

Ryne: What were you doing to the Lakers defense last night.....besides destroying it?

Cp3: (Laughs) Just trying to attack, Ive been in this league for 6 years and we play the Lakers 4 times a year so I know what there gameplan is for the most part, and I didnt want them to take the ball away from me.

Ryne: Was there ever a time you changed your approach during the game?

CP3: Not really, I've never been a guy to decide im gonna score 25 points this game, I always let the defense dictate what I do as a player. It was are guys knocking down shots and our bigs finishing around the rim. When those guys are scoring like that it really opens up the lane for me.

SVP: Like you said you know the makeup of the Lakers, how do you get your guys prepared for what should be a ferocious effort by them on Wednesday night?

CP3: Im sure we will watch some film and see what we did well and what we didnt. You know, It's the playoffs, we'd love to start the next game as we finished last nights but you don't get that luxury. Each game starts over 0-0 and it's a different situation, we just have to be ready.

Ryne: How were you able to limit Gausol so well?

CP3: We just tried to make it difficult for him all night. Aaron Gray was our player of the game, he kept him out of position.

Ryne: Aaron turned his ankle late yesterday, how is he doing?

CP3: Im really not sure I haven't seen him yet, but he's a real tough guy he will do what it takes to play, we need you guys to keep him in your prayers (haha), we need him out there.

SVP: Is it a bummer to have to wait so long for game 2?

CP3: Yeah, we wish we could have just played game 2 right after we finished game 1 last night. It's good though, we can go back to the drawing board and see what we do.

Ryne: Last question, what do you think about the differences between you and Rose's game?

CP3: Well he's so explosive, I tell kids at my camp I wish I could dunk like that because people don't wanna block your shot if you can dunk on them like that.

SVP: Thanks Chris

CP3: As always thanks alot Scott.
