Just curious what ya'll think. I think this class is going to have a higher proportion of Louisiana kids than anyone really expected about 4-5 months ago. We've already got 8 in the fold, and it looks like we've extended offers to five more: Derek Edinburg, Denzell Devall, Lorenzo Phillips, Landon Collins, and Davanta Bourque. That's 13 assuming they all commit, and then if history is any indication there will be 2 more offered at summer camp (e.g. Ronald Martin, Paul Turner), and maybe 2 sleepers offered late (e.g. Jonah Austin, Micah Eugene) last year. I could easily see us getting up to 16 or 17, matching last year which was thought to be one of the best La classes in recent history.
Do you think this is just shaping up to be a more solid class than anticipated, or that Frank Wilson has emphasized offering La players that may have previously been considered fringe LSU recruits for whatever reason?
