No. He's actually pretty horrible at this, but it makes up such a small % of what makes for a good college baseball coach that it shouldn't really be a big deal. Mainieri will blow a few games from time to time, but in the end, the teams with the most talent and discipline who are best at focusing on the ultimate prize are the ones who will win that prize more often that not. He's won a NC before and he'll win one again, whether LSU makes it to a Super Regional this year or not.
