Wine ratings are so subjective that I pay little to no attention to them. Even if it's a little past its peak drinnkability, at $8.99, I think I'd take my chances.

I know this wine is from the Rhone Valley, but the Syrah coming out of California for the last several years is tough to beat. Hated to see the article L.A. posted a while back about the scaling back of this grape by many growers...

OK...for $8.99 not that bad, but I would never pay $25.99 for it. Maybe its my limited experience of Syrah's, but it's not doing much for me.
