I'm thinking about getting one soon, just a few quesitons:

1) Is it possible to save identical games from the ps3 to psp? For example, could I continue playing a season of the Show for ps3 on the psp version?

2) What are some must have games?

3) Can netflix instant stream be played on it?

4) Overall, is it worth buying for gaming? Would you recommended it over a DS?

TIA

I recommend a 1000 or 2000 model as they can easily be haxored. The system is more powerful than the DS but doesn't have as many good titles. I own both....

I bought one for my son. He rarely if ever plays it. I bought it for trips, and he can't even see the damn screen in the car. There aren't many great games. And the price point of the games is so high, that my son would just as soon buy another 360 game than spend that much on a PSP game.

I'm hoping when Sony releases the new portable that PSP games will fall like the PS2 games when the PS3 was released. Then we'll rack up. Until then, the device pretty much just gathers dust.

Lumines, Loco Roco, Patapon, GoW: Chains of Olympus, The Metal Gear Solid games, GTA: Chinatown wars. FF Tactics, Jeanne d'Arc, Tactics Ogre, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness are all really good tactical RPGS.

I never liked the DS so I would recommend the PSP over it. That said, it's only worth buying if you are going to hack it or if you really enjoy puzzle games and rpgs. I used it more for a mp3 player than a game system. Its possible to watch movies too, but I found the screen a little to small for this. The one thing that I did find really cool was the remote play feature. If you have a ps3 and travel a lot then this can actually make it worth buying.

Would not recommend it over a DS, and I would just wait until the new Playstation handheld comes out. You may be able to either: A) Get a PSP cheaper B) Get a better quality handheld.

If you really want to buy a PSP, I would suggest getting one of the older models, (The Brick)so you can hard mod it, and install custom firmware, so you never have to pay for games.

I bought mine from a friend of mine and did this, I have around 10 or so games on 2-3 memory sticks.
