For people complaining about Mainieri making less than the Women's bball coach 5x national champ Augie Garrido makes less than UT's women's coach.

We didn't pay "market rate."
Were paying here like a top 5 coach, which she has yet to prove. Not saying she's not a good hire, but for that price?

900K isn't top 5 probably closer to early teens. You also have to consider that it was essentially a bidding war for her services between UCLA/LSU/UVA. Sue Semrau was probably the #2 candidate and she would have likely cost more not including her buyout.
