To me its pointless question until they have summer camp, but I'd expect Jefferson to start at this point, because he is probably the best option we have right now. I could be wrong but I don't think Newton was named the starter until the summer or at least not until the end of spring last year and he was special.
Jefferson was terrible most of last year, but that doesn't mean Krags coaching can't help him improve. Dennis Dixon was battling Brady Leaf for time at Oregon in 2006, in 2007 he was a Heisman candidate before getting hurt.
