NFL Network's Charley Casserly says Ridley will be a steal in this draft and could be a 1,000 rusher with the right team...

Around the 3:08 mark...

Only time will tell but I still think he could have improved his draft status with another solid year in the SEC and with high profile games against Oregon and West Virginia.

I said it a few weeks ago, and I'll get called a homer up and down, but I see very little difference to him and Mark Ingram other than Ridley is bigger and can hold the weight much better.

I honestly Tolliver is going to be the biggest steal in the draft....with his size.....throw in a better QB than Jefferson threw to him (i think its possible) and I think he will be one of the best LSU/nfl WR's

Was thinking the same thing. With a real QB he's elite.

I see a helluva difference between the two, but maybe it's just me. They are not the same two types of athlete.

I hope he does well. He's always been told he wasn't good enough, but always impressed and was first team this year. Goodluck

No that's generally the consensus.

Ingram is certainly quicker, and maybe my opinion is tainted by his "off" year this year (compared to his Heisman campaign). I just don't think he's durable enough to be an elite back, and the system he played him facilitated the huge numbers he put up.

My point was less about the quality of Ridley than of Ingram. I don't think Ridley will be an elite RB, but he has a chance to succeed in the right system. I think the same of Ingram.

Ridley played a tougher schedule than Ingram did, and had no help from the passing game.

That being said, there's no use speculating who is or who will be the better back in the NFL.

We'll see soon enough.

Such a myth.

Average Opponent run defense Ingram faced: 62nd

Average Opponent run defense Ridley faced: 38th

Ingram only faced 2 opponents in the top 25 of run defenses in 09, Florida and Texas.

Ridley faced 5 top 25 defenses and put up 116 on WVU, who was ranked 2nd in the nation.

Not to mention the Alabama passing offense was substantially more productive than anything Ridley had to work with... I just entirely disagree with the point.
