As an Italian-American, I admit that I watch the show and laugh at the stupidity. But what is sad is that many people think that the show represents all Italian-Americans.
I can't tell you how many times I have been asked why I don't talk like they (the Jersey Shore castmembers) do.
I wish we could just go back to the stereotype of IA's being mobsters, instead of idiots.
