I don't care how "close" it is. If Mettenberger's better, he needs to start.
Of course we know that this will never occur. That it is an impossibility.

I would like to see mett but if its close I would want JJ for the experience.

I am so effing sick of reading butt-hurt gabage like this. Does anyone on this board honestly believe that Miles wouldn't want to start whomever gives the Tigers the best opportunity to win??? I mean really?
Miles likes the fact that JJ can be a dual threat for defenses. JJ also has a ton of experience. JJ also has a new QB coach who can help him with his play. Only a fool would start a new player with no D1 experience over JJ.
For the people interested in Mett starting: It will take Miles putting him in from time to time in games and seeing how he handles it. If he is consistently outperforming JJ and showing overall consistency in his play, he will earn the role of starter at some point.
Stop letting your emotions cloud your judgement.
