Great job taking into account that Nigeria is not nearly the same kind of culture that America is.
Considering the kid's playing in America and his name is listed as the English "God's Gift" as opposed to a regional African language's version of it, it's a reasonable assumption.
It seems like the kind of ego-centric thing that people in this country would do to give their kid a unique name.
