Don't get me wrong b/c I love saltwater fishing, but where these areas are located is not the place to go IMO for the average sportsman. These areas mostly offer saltwater fishing only unless you want to fit in and shoot spotted fawns, button bucks, or spikes! haha! Don't take me too serious, I have a ton of family down there.

Tensas and Rapides are both good suggestions in my opinion. I said Union because of Darbone NWR, Upper Ouachita NWR, Union Game Reserve, Lake Darbone, Bayou Darbone, Bayou DeLoutre, Ouachita River, Finch Lake, abundant amounts of private and public land to hunt, it borders Arkansas (which manages their wildlife better), there are plenty of deer, turkeys, ducks, hogs, doves, squirrels, rabbits, a variety of other game and great freshwater fishing. I'm right there with yall that said Tensas though
