The man with the Johnnie Jones avatar. How many NCAA tournaments has he been to? He coaches in the Sun Belt, shouldn't he be dominating that league. After all, he's in Texas, it's such a huge state, players everywhere.
But, but, he beat LSU. So what? If he beats LSU next year, when Trent Johnson isn't having to play 4 freshmen and a sophomores in about their 8th game of college experience, then you might have a point.
Please give me your qualifications of a good coach that LSU needs to hire. Here's a few:
- had success in the NCAA tournament
- had success at more than one program
- had success in a major conference
- never been in trouble with the NCAA
How many of those fit Johnnie Jones? How many of those fit Trent Johnson?

You want to give Trent another year, fine; so do I. But not holding him accountable for doing his job -- and yes, recruiting IS his job, even when Louisiana isn't busting with HS All-Americans -- is flat out bullshite. Louisiana didn't always have great talent when Brady was here, either; but somehow he managed to get the program above the level of back to back last place finishes in the conference. If you really think Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee are all producing enough talent to support TWO teams that can finish 11th or higher in the SEC the last two years, and Louisiana isn't producing enough to talent to support ONE, then you are flat out deluding yourself for Johnson's benefit.
