Jones is my favorite fighter. That being said, Shogun is too experienced for him at the moment. Bones has never faced anyone like Shogun before and it will show.

this is pretty much how I feel. I wonder if Shogun is worried at all about the takedowns, or if he will just kick away.

Gotta take Shogun too. Jones is not experienced enough to take down a guy like Shogun yet. Sky is still the limit with Jones even if he loses this match.

Jones' development in such a short time (started training 3 years ago) is pretty astonishing.

That's not to say that guys haven't jumped in and rose to the top quickly, but the way he has put together such a well rounded game is utterly impressive

BJ went from off the streets to one of the top mma grapplers in the world in 4 years, and that is considered incredible, but it still took him another 4 years or so to develop the boxing that really made him dominant

Jones went from decent wrestler, to having a top level ground game, top level striking AND, perhaps most importantly, the mental calm to be able to put that all together in creative and effective way against top level competition in 3 short years. Amazing

i love bones jones, but this is a tough matchup for him. shogun is too good and too experienced and bones had a short camp to prep for him. i think he'll lose, but i think within a year, he'll be right back in title contention with a much better shot at winning

What the frick was that? Cro Cop has become a fricking joke. Getting knocked out with a stupid punch like that, after having the fight almost won. Dude needs to retire. He should have known something was up when he got knocked out by Frank Mir. A guy who couldn't knock out a 80 year old blind man.
