Ive been away from Baton Rouge now for close to 4 years, so plese excuse my ignorance, but can someone explain to me why we havent played South Carolina during the regular season for the last 2 years. I looked at the schedule and we play every team from the east except for USc east.. I thank you in advance for the answer.

Its just the way it falls. Its not like basketball, where we play every team from the east.

I guess a team rolls on and off for 2 years (home and home)and then it being USC will roll on and someone else rolls off.

Thats correct. Each team plays 30 SEC games. Other then yourself there are 11 other conference teams which would make 33 games. So every year one team from the east is left off the schedule. That is for 2 years since everyone plays home, and home every other year. Each year we play 5 West teams and 4 East teams.

Thanks so much for the answers you all. Just didnt know how that happens, so I guess we then drop another east opponent and pick up USC east next year. Thanks again to all for the info.

I know this is way early to say this, but LSU and South Carolina will for sure meet each other in Hoover, AL this year.

I definitely agree and I believe they played in Hoover last year but again Im not for sure. At any rate, if the cards play out, I do believe that they will meet during the SEC tourny.
