That's ridiculous. Even if you made the bobble argument...he can and still could make a play.
Wrong again. Once the fielder is given right to field a ball cleanly (which he had) and boots it then there is no longer interference. God you people seriously don't know the rules of baseball.

What would have been the correct call, in your opinion? No interference called, two players lying motionless in the infield. What next?

Did you stay at a holiday inn express last night?

You obviously don't know NCAA rules. Here it is: Rule 2, Interference - A.R. 3 - If a fielder has a chance to field a batted ball, but misplays it and while attempting to recover it, the ball is in the fielder's immediate reach and the fielder is contacted by the base runner attempting to reach a base, interference shall be called.
A.R. 4 - If a fielder has a chance to field a batted ball, but misplays it and must chase after the ball, the fielder must avoid the runner. If contact occurs, obstruction shall be called.
Clearly, Jones was not chasing after the ball and the ball was in the fielder's immediate reach, so the call by the umpire was correct. Look up the rules.

the runner made no attempt to avoid the fielder which the rule clearly states the runner has to do thats where the interference happens. Hey coach just because your from or live in texass dont make your assumption right even though most people from texass think they are.

No obviously you dont know the rules. He was still within reach of making a play on the ball when the collision occurred. Keep in mind this was a bang band call that was indeed called correctly. Don't make this seem as LSU lucked out. The UMP did his job and there were plenty of other calls in the game that where more controversial than this one. That call on first base would make a little league Ump cringe, he was out by a full step. We won no reason to dwell on this shite
