The Zachary schools being #1 is misleading. Individually many other schools have a higher scores as far as ACT and state test scores than Zachary. Zachary schools have the highest average as far as K-12, but Mandeville and Dutchtown also scored higher as high schools. Zachary doesn't have Covington or Donaldsonville dragging the district down. That said Zachary is perfectly fine. I was paying tuition and moved out to the suburbs. I figured out over the life of my kids K-12 education I am saving around 180K in tuition. That's a second house.
I am sorry but that's just ridiculous. So far I see very little difference in the education my kids are getting as far as quality. I am very familiar with what a good education looks like.
