Not only did my grandfather leave the coins to my family, but he also had several books of coins. These books of coins, each have a certain date, mint location, grade, etc. are mostly complete. There are about 15 types of books. They range from pennies to dollars starting around 1900 to 1970. The reason why I am telling you this is because I think these coins are the best of all of the coins and the rest he collected hoping silver prices will rise in the future. So eBay is a really good idea? I never really thought about that route.

Well

Here's the thing.

If time or convenience is an issue then i'd recommend a reputable coin dealer. take just a little time to make sure it's a legit coin dealer. the price of silver right now is about 34.50 an ounce. go check out e-bay right now, type in franklin half dollars. I believe someone is selling a stack of twenty coins for 260.00 dollars plus. Go from there and do the math.

Ag enthusiasts think silver will conservatively hit 50 dollars an ounce by the end of the year which means your collection will only climb higher.

think of this. at the beginning of Jan 2010 silver was around 15 dollars an ounce, at the end of 2010/2011 now it is over 30..something to consider
