take the time to get a coin magazine (take a quick scan of the collection, you may have a few numastically valuable coins). Most of those coins are 90% silver. Half dollars and quarters are in especially high demand. You'll get much more selling them on e-bay. A dealer will be more convenient, but they usually always buy them under spot price.
