I have a lot of Silver Coins that I received when my grandfather passed away. I was wondering if it's a good time to sell. I'm going to Houston next week to look for someone to appraise the coins. Is it better to sell them at melt value, or appraise each coin? Also, can you send me to a legit appraiser in Houston. Any help would be appreciated.

what type of coins? and what condition are they in? old morgan dollars in good condition will get you much more than melt value. If they are in shitty condition you may be better off with melt value. Year/mint/condition matter

If you want the most then go to dealer and tell them you want 90% "gray" sheet value. Gray sheet price is the price that dealers sell to each other and amount changes weekly. amount reflects most recent retail value. coins are almost always worth more than melt value. You teeling me you have that many rolled? If original rolls then you have a bunch of mint coins that are worth quite a bit,
