So, to simplify my argument:

Baton Rouge has a soccer league already, soccer league approaches parks commission, says "hey... you provide the land, we'll get some money and we'll provide the maintenance, and put people in the parks. Win - win for everybody."

New guy wants to start soccer league. Why doesn't new guy approach BREC and make the same deal? There's existing goals at the corner of Tiger Bend and Antioch, some in Highland Road park (I think) and a mess of them at Howell Park. I'm sure there are others that I can't think of. Why not take some of his club member's money and pay to maintain one of those? I'm sure BREC would jump at it in a heartbeat.

I didn't see where he was offering to pay to use anything.

And I don't care if it's Lafayatte, Chelsea or God's personal rec league team that wants to use the fields, I am 100% behind BRSA or BREC keeping them off the fields that *I* (and many others) pay to maintain.

USE THE OTHER FACILITIES.
