Considering we don't have Rodgers or Rogers, it can't be an upgrade.

Only 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks last year? No thanks.

there's a reason he was released.
God knows the last person we got from the Bears wasn't really worth it.

If you wanna sign him for the minimum and have him compete for a roster spot, sure go for it.
Dude had several injuries that effected his play, but also for some reason his performance dropped off after his first big contract, the one after his rookie contract.

There is an ESPN article speculating Saints interest in Tommie Harris. I think the price for him will be affordable since he is a roster cut. I want to see the organization make a move for him and Gholston. Gholston is very young and should be dirt cheap. At 6-3 260, he's more of a 4-3 guy than than a 3-4 DE that the Jets tried to make him fit into.

If you are a DE with all the athletic ability in the world and can't fit into Rex's system, let alone not even sniff the field then there is a big reason I don't want you on my team.

Gholston will be lucky if he gets offered anything close to one mil a year. He's a freak of nature type of athlete and is worth a shot. He has absolutely no coverage skills to play OLB in the 3-4 and is way too light to play DE in that same system. He was all-American in tOSU's 4-3 and I can see him being at least depth chart material in the Saints 4-3.
