the one shot one scene scene.

it goes about oh 6 minuets without a cut

Incredible scene. There's one from Atonement very similar to it I found pretty remarkable.

Opening Scene of Casino Royale

It's not one of the greatest scenes, but I always enjoy it.

The last 2 Bond movies with Pierce Brosnan got more and more extreme. They weren't sticking to the character of James Bond. Bond was becoming a superhero. When Daniel Craig was hired we didn't know to expect. That opening scene where Bond drowns that guy in the sink then shoots him was pretty intense.

How many scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark should I list? The opening scene, the scene in the bar, the scene on the airfield, the ending sequence when they open the ark...practically that entire movie is filled with good scenes.

Two others that are my favorites:
1) the scene in Good Will Hunting where Robin Williams and Matt Damon are on the park bench and Matt's character gets his arse passively handed to him.

2) Jaws-when they're drinking and Quint gives his discussion of delivering the bomb and the crew ends up in the water waiting to be rescued.

My all-time favorite movie is Last of the Mohicans, and the final scene after they are freed from the village and chase after the war party going up the mountain. Music/action/climax of the movie, that is an epic ending.
The torture/execution scene in Braveheart is intense, too, and they didn't even portray half of what really happened to william wallace when he was executed.
"The prisoner wishes to say a word..."
"FFFFRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM"
I get chill bumps just typing that

The Shining, Jack Torrance and Delbert Grady in the bathroom has always been one of my favorite movie scenes and not because they drop the N bomb.

Training Day-Denzel-"King Kong aint got shite on me!" Also the GoodFellas scene form the previous post. Two war related ones--Mel Gibson's speech in We Were Soliers before they left and George C Scott's speech at the beginning of Patton. Impsossible to pick just one.

The Pacino and Deniro diner scene in Heat. There was no script for that and it was completely ad lib and filmed in one continuous take.

This scene to me is beautiful, frightening, sad and amazingly put together.

The Scene leading up to and through the final battle in The 13th Warrior.

The 13th Warrior

Both the movie and the book (Eaters of the Dead) are great, one of my top five all time movies.

I really like the tracking shot in Kill Bill.

Also, the ending of Fellowship of the Ring with Boromir's death, then Frodo & Sam.

How old are you guys, like ten? The oldest movies you've mentioned are The Godfathers.

How about the railroad yard in Gone with the Wind?

Any of a dozen scenes in Citizen Kane?

The Statue of Liberty chase in The Saboteur?

Nothing from Eisenstein? Really?

Y'all mention Friday Night Lights and The Lion King in this thread? Really?
