I hope some of you are more current on PC hardware than I am, its been a while since I built my box or paid much attention to hardware.
I think I like the nvidia 560 Ti but I don't know if the rest of my antiquated PC will be a bottle neck on it. Here are my specs:
mobo
PK5C
CPU
Intel core 2 duo E6850 3Ghz
4 gigs of DDR2
OS
Windows 7 64
I run 2 10,000 rpm raptor drives and a 7200 rpm western digital HD.
I think my power supply is 1000w but I have not yanked it out to confirm, it is pretty close to that, maybe 900w.
Thanks for any input

I wouldn't get anything faster than a gtx 460. The 10k raptors are behind the latest 7200 drives usually. You need to get at least 3.6ghz out of that 6850 or upgrade to a quad really... Any newer video cards would be bottlenecked. What is the resolution that you game at?

I would dump the 10k raptors for a SSD boot and gaming drive and use your 7200 for data storage. It will make the machine run cooler and quieter and take less power.
This is a very good chart from Tom's hardware that breaks down video cards by performance per dollar.

I was just going to add the power supply issue, I overlooked it when getting mine, but it appears you are aware.
