With the 6th overall pick, Suntiger selects CB DeAnthony Thomas. It's not a given that Thomas will play CB yet because he's talented enough to play CB/S/RB/WR and play them all equally as well. I will put him at CB since Lache was Oregon and my RB pick-up last year. The only knock on Thomas is his size, but at 5'9"-5'10", his size at CB shouldn't be too much of a concern. I wanted to go for a more high profile position like QB or RB early on, but Thomas is just too good of a freak athlete to pass up. I think he will end up being Oregon’s kick returner/punt returner as well which should get me some extra special teams points. Now let’s just hope he qualifies!

5’9”/5'10"
170 lbs
4.4 40 yard dash
School: Oregon Ducks
In 2010 he ran the 200m meters in 20.61 seconds and ran a 10.57 in the 100m.

I will select QB Jeff Driskel. Rivals' top rated QB. Signed with Florida.

I want to get QB out of the way since I felt like it was a pretty weak class overall at that position.

I think he will excel at Florida under the new OC (Charlie Weis) and I think he showed great leadership by working to keep that class together when Meyer quit. I think he will fit very nicely in Weis's offense and should do very well for me because I didn't see much from their other QBs to make me think Driskel is destined for the bench. Additionally, he's already on campus and getting reps.

Perhaps I'm reaching just a touch for this pick but I figured the odds were damn good that some bastard would pick him before things got back around to me. So, I had to act.

Of course, since I chose him, he's likely going to transfer after spring ball.

I had the exact idea with Robert Woods last year. In fact, Rivals said he resembled Charles Woodson, so I pegged him as my CB/KR/PR guy, with a few snaps at WR.

He was great at KR/PR, but never saw the field as CB. How-eva, he did lead the team in receptions and yardage, and was second in TDs.

Good choice, of course it's kind of hard to frick these picks up.
