The Hawks and Wizards are said to be close to working out a Jamal Crawford for Kirk Hinrich trade.

Actually, I think this is a shitty arse trade for Atlanta.
ETA: Unless there is something I am not aware of. Is either a free agent at year's end?

Exactly. Getting Hinrich and trading Jamal would have put Atlanta in the relatively same spot they are.
This is a good trade for Atlanta to bring in Hinrich

Jamal averages 15 a game. Jordan has played in 16 games and averages like 4 a game. 
Plus, now they don't have to deal with all of the J. Crawford confusion.

not exactly. Hinrich is worlds better on D than either Bibby or Jamal, so that's a huge need. yeah you lose Jamal's bench scoring, but I think those shots coulda been redistributed to guys like Marvin, Teague, and Jordan and actually gotten those guys more involved.
not that I'm advocating losing Jamal though.
