the tolerances on 1911 are probably among the highest of all firearms, in return you get a extremely smooth shooting firearm. take a Glock for example. a glock has loose tolerances to be able to shoot through dirt and grime and anything else you throw at it, thats why something like a Glock will feel "sloppy" to some people.
